Mayfair Hotel and Mayfair Gardens share one address on Pari Street, in the quieter upper part of Kato Paphos — next to Kings Avenue Mall rather than on the Poseidonos seafront. Many guests arrive on a package with an airport transfer and only think about a car once they are here, which makes sense: from this address the beach, the harbour, Akamas and Troodos are a drive, not a stroll. We are based in Chloraka, about 6–7 km away, and bring the car to the hotel.

We come to Pari Street, not the other way round

Mayfair is about 6–7 km from our office in Chloraka: down Griva Digeni, then along Tombs of the Kings Avenue. That is comfortably inside our 20 km free delivery zone, and the run normally takes around 15 minutes, a little longer at peak season on that avenue. One detail worth giving us when you book: the complex has two buildings at the same address, Mayfair Hotel (4-star) and Mayfair Gardens (3-star-plus), so tell us which one you are staying in and we will meet you at the right entrance.

Terms you can read before you sign anything

There is no prepayment when you reserve the car. We go through the rental agreement with you at the hotel, in person, before anything is signed, and you can see exactly what you are getting: compacts and economy cars, family cars and SUVs, 7- and 8-seat minivans, automatic or manual, plus 125cc scooters and buggies. If a two-bedroom Mayfair Gardens apartment is sleeping six, the minivans are the honest answer rather than two small cars.

Giving the car back at the hotel

Return to the hotel works by arrangement: we agree the day, time and meeting point when you take the car, so you are not driving anywhere on your last morning. Mayfair is listed with free on-site parking on its booking pages, which means the car has somewhere to sit while you are at Aqua Splash or at the mall next door, though the exact area is worth checking at reception for your building. Paphos Airport, roughly 15 km away, is also possible as a paid delivery or collection.

Driving out of Kato Paphos

Cyprus drives on the left, and the first few roundabouts on Tombs of the Kings Avenue are where that becomes real. Most of our cars are automatic, which takes one thing off your mind, and the roads you will actually use from Mayfair are simple: straight down to the harbour and the archaeological park, or up the coast towards Coral Bay, Akamas and Latchi. Our team is here in Paphos and speaks English, Russian and German, so if something is unclear you are calling a local office, not a call centre abroad.

Four steps from Pari Street to the road

  1. Tell us your dates and what the group needs — a compact for two, a family car or SUV, a 7- or 8-seat minivan for an apartment sleeping six, or a 125cc scooter or buggy.
  2. Give us the building: Mayfair Hotel or Mayfair Gardens. Both sit at the same Pari Street address (some booking sites still write it as 1 Paris Street, and the main building still appears as 'Mayfair Hotel, formerly Smartline Paphos'), so the building name, your arrival time and a WhatsApp or phone number are the useful details.
  3. We confirm the car in writing. No prepayment is taken at the booking stage.
  4. On the day we drive over from Chloraka — normally around 15 minutes — hand the car over at the hotel, go through the agreement and answer whatever you want to ask about the roads, parking and driving on the left.

Which car for Mayfair Hotel, which for Mayfair Gardens?

A compact or an economy automatic for a couple in the main building; a family car, an SUV or a 7- or 8-seat minivan for a Mayfair Gardens apartment sleeping five or six; 125cc scooters and buggies for the short hops — all subject to availability on your dates. See the fleet →

Please note: delivery to the hotel is free; Paphos Airport and addresses outside the 20 km zone carry a fee that we confirm before you book.

Questions Mayfair guests ask

Is there somewhere to leave the car at the hotel?

The hotel's booking listings state free on-site parking, and that matches what guests report; we have not found it spelled out on the hotel's own website, so it is worth confirming at reception which area applies to your building. We hand the car over at the hotel entrance, and reception can point you to where guests park. Kings Avenue Mall is next door if you would rather walk that bit anyway.

We fly out early in the morning — how do we return the car?

We agree the return when you take the car. For an early flight that usually means handing it back at the hotel the evening before, which is the simplest option, or returning it at Paphos Airport — airport delivery and collection is a paid service, so just say which you prefer when booking. If you are with Jet2 and using Resort Flight Check-in at the hotel, your luggage is already gone by then, which makes that last morning easier either way.

There is a bus stop about 50 m away. Do we really need a car?

Honestly, it depends where you are going. That stop covers Coral Bay and the Tombs of the Kings, and the harbour, the archaeological park, St Paul's Pillar and the mall are all within roughly 15 minutes on foot; the nearest beach is about 900 m, so 15–20 minutes walking. What the bus does not reach is Akamas, Lara and Avakas Gorge, Polis and Latchi, the Troodos villages and the wineries. That gap widens in winter: the hotel stays open and heated, but the children's animation runs April to October and the outdoor pools are not in use, so most of what is left to do is outside Kato Paphos.
