Free at Thalassa, first day and last
Our Chloraka office is about 7.7 km by road through Kissonerga, around 15 minutes by our estimate, within the free 20 km radius. In working hours, driving you to the office and collecting the car here cost nothing.
Bronze Age walls next door
Maa-Palaiokastro, on the same headland, is where Mycenaean Greek settlers built a walled town more than 3,000 years ago; check opening days before you walk over. The Coral Bay strip is about 15–20 minutes away on foot.
Sunset at Agios Georgios
Park by the stone church and 6th-century basilicas, about 8 km up the coast by our estimate, and walk down to the fishing harbour. The cape faces west, Yeronisos islet offshore; sunset is about 18:35 in early October, 16:40 in December.
Wine country on the Laona plateau
On a day too windy for swimming, drive about 14 km inland and uphill to Kathikas, some 25 minutes by our estimate, for wineries such as Vasilikon and Sterna. Agree who drives before the tasting.

- At that time, within our working hours, our driver picks you up at Thalassa for the drive to our Chloraka office.
- Before you set off, we explain the rental agreement in English, Russian or German, take payment for the rental and place a refundable €300 hold on the card.
- Last day: park on the spot agreed in advance and drop the keys at the front desk, or end the rental at the airport terminal.
Which car for two, with or without golf bags?
A compact suits two and parks easily in Kato Paphos, about 14 km away; there is no fee for a second driver. The hotel lists four golf courses about 20–40 minutes away (Minthis, Secret Valley, Aphrodite Hills, Elea); two golf bags fit better in an SUV. Automatics are standard across the fleet. Paphos Airport: around 40 minutes from Thalassa by our estimate, about 31 km by road. A terminal start or finish is €20 each, and both are free when the rental lasts 5 days or more.
Questions Thalassa guests ask
Thalassa is about 40 minutes from the airport. Where should the rental start?
With 5 or more rental days, at the terminal: the hand-over there is free and you drive up yourself. For shorter rentals it costs €20, so you can come by transfer; our driver then takes you from Thalassa to our office, free in working hours.
Our flight home is in the evening. Is the last day lost?
No. The car stays yours after you leave the room, up to the return hour in your booking: lunch in Kathikas, then Paphos Airport at a time agreed within our working hours (€20, free from 5 rental days).
Can we drive on along the coast past Agios Georgios?
Not in a rental car. North of the church the road becomes a dirt track, and our rental agreement allows cars on asphalt only: where the tarmac ends, you turn around. Maa-Palaiokastro, Agios Georgios and Kathikas are all on asphalt.
